Fancy yourself as a budding photographer? Now’s your chance to show the world what you’re made of at this year’s World Food Photography Awards. With the deadline for entry less than a month away, it’s time to get your creative juices flowing and get snapping before entries close on the 9th February.
Open to both amateur and professional photographers of all ages and with a range of 25 categories, the competition gives everyone a chance to tell their food stories through the lens. There's a top prize of £5000 to be won and worldwide recognition to be gained. As this year’s headline sponsor, we’re proud to be a part of these prestigious Awards and look forward to seeing the amazing entries from across the globe, showcasing the very best in food photography.
As champions for producing the very best fruit and vegetables, we are also excited to announce a new special addition, The Bimi® Prize, which will be awarded to one stunning image only, chosen from the Awards shortlist for the best image showing fresh fruit and/or vegetables.
Judged by a panel of experts in the world of food and photography, including legendary photographers, magazine editors and world-renowned chefs, this year’s panel will be chaired by acclaimed food photographer David Loftus. David will be joined by Chef, Restaurateur and Campaigner, Jamie Oliver, as well as Fiona Shields, Head of Photography, Guardian News and Media; Claire Rees, BAFTA Photography Director; Simon Hill Hon FRPS, President, Royal Photographic Society and Rich Robinson, Head of Creative, M&S Food, and many more experts in their field.
All finalists will be invited to attend a glittering VIP awards evening in May and will have their work displayed at the Mall Galleries in London for the world to see.
