Tenderstem® is perfect for adding to all kinds of curries, bringing a little crunch, a burst of bright green colour and a healthy portion of vegetables.
You can add Tenderstem® broccoli to almost any curry you are making. Whether that’s one of our own curry recipes that you can find on our website, or even a recipe of your own. You might be making a classic Indian recipe such as a Rogan Josh, or trying a nice Thai green curry from scratch. Either way, you absolutely can add Tenderstem® broccoli to your dish.
When to Add Tenderstem® Broccoli to Your Curry
Depending on the curry that you’re making, it’s best to add Tenderstem® towards the end of the cooking process. This way, you make sure that the Tenderstem® retains a little crunchy bite and cuts through the spice.
Alternatively, you can cut the stems down into small pieces and add them to your sauce earlier, leaving just the florets for adding at the end. That way you get smaller, softer pieces of the stem running through your curry. Either way, it really is up to you.
Adding Frozen Tenderstem® Broccoli to Curries
It’s a great idea to have some frozen Tenderstem® tucked away in the freezer for adding to a curry you’re making. A super easy way to add a healthy portion of vegetables into your meal, and you won’t need to worry about having to nip out to pick up fresh Tenderstem®.
